How to Generate 3D Models from Images Using Hitem3D

Hitem3D is an AI-powered 3D model generator that converts single or multi-angle images into exportable 3D assets for rendering, visualization, and 3D printing.

1. Sign up and log in to Hitem3D.

2. Select General → Image to 3D to create a model from a single image.

3. Upload a clear image of your subject (use a white background for better human results).

4. Set the model version to the latest available (e.g., 2.0).

5. Choose 1546p Pro resolution and enable Geometry + Texture to generate both the mesh and diffuse texture.

6. Click Generate and wait a few minutes for processing.

7. Preview the result using white render, albedo, or normal map modes to inspect quality.

8. Export the model as FBX or OBJ for rendering, or STL for 3D printing.

9. Import the model into Lumion, place it in a scene, and render it to evaluate real-world quality.

10. For human figures, render the character in Lumion, then import the result into Nana Banana Pro to enhance facial realism.

11. Use Multi-View to 3D when you have front, back, and side images of a product, then generate with default settings.

12. Open complex models in 3ds Max to inspect wireframes and reduce heavy triangulation by running retopology (e.g., limit to 150k polygons); note this makes the models unsuitable for low-poly game assets but effective for architectural visualization and 3D printing.

13. For 3D printing, export as STL, open the file in your slicing software, configure print settings, and start the print.
