YouTube Confirms Discussions With

Is Claude's new Projects feature the same thing as Perplexity's Collections? Or does it offer additional functions?

I pay for perplexity and use Claude inside of it, but wondering if I should switch to Claude's paid service instead.

Answer

Claude's Projects and Perplexity's Collections are similar, but not the same. Both let users organize their chats. But they work differently.

Claude's Projects has "Artifacts." These let users work with Claude's outputs in new ways. Perplexity doesn't have this.

Perplexity lets people share Collections. Friends can work on them together. Claude's Projects doesn't do this.

With Perplexity, you can set a starting prompt for a Collection. Claude doesn't mention this for Projects.

Perplexity's Collections work with its search engine. Claude is just for talking, not searching.

Perplexity lets you choose if Collections are public or private. I don't know if Claude's Projects do this.

Both tools help organize AI chats. But Claude focuses on working with AI outputs. Perplexity aims for teamwork and better searches.

Ultimately I need more info on Claude's Projects to compare them fully ... we will be testing!

A lot of people have been asking me how I create my prompts.

Here is the general formula I use and an example of a prompt created following it.
