🥷 The Hidden Problem With AI Art Nobody Talks About

AI-generated images can look completely original while still carrying hidden copyright risks. That’s becoming a real concern for freelancers, agencies, and brands using AI visuals in client work, ads, or commercial projects.

OpenArt just added a new feature called CopySight that helps solve this problem.

It scans AI-generated images against a massive database of copyrighted and protected content, then gives you a “CopyScore” that estimates how closely your image resembles existing work. It also highlights potential matches so you can see exactly what might trigger concerns.

The tool works directly inside OpenArt, so you can generate an image and run an IP safety check in a single workflow. That makes it much easier to catch issues before sending assets to clients, publishing campaigns, or using visuals commercially.

Standout features:

  • Similarity detection against existing works

  • Copyright and IP risk analysis

  • Visual previews of matching content

  • Built-in scanning inside OpenArt’s image generator

This feels especially useful for designers, marketers, content creators, freelancers, and agencies working with AI art at scale. It’s also valuable for anyone creating branded content who wants an extra layer of protection before publishing.

If you work with AI-generated visuals regularly, CopySight inside OpenArt is worth exploring here: OpenArt

And if you want to see it in action, check out my latest Instagram Reel where I test an AI-generated image and reveal the copyright matches it found.
